Northwood Assisted Living in Springfield, Ohio, seeks an Assistant Wellness Director - Licensed Practical Nurse to lead nursing staff and ensure high-quality care for residents. The role combines clinical leadership with administrative responsibilities to support exceptional gerontological care.

The successful candidate will supervise staff, develop care plans with the Wellness Director, and stay compliant with state and federal regulations while promoting a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Current Nursing License (LPN) in good standing.
• Training and/or experience in gerontological nursing, as well as education and/or experience in nursing services administration.
• Strong leadership interest and ability.
• Ability to facilitate teamwork and be a team player.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations.
• Ability to assist in planning and budgeting for nursing care, including recommendations from the Wellness Director.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional care and services to residents, ensuring physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
• Collaborate with the Wellness Director to develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating the latest research and best practices.
• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Act as a resource person, assisting all nursing staff to develop their individual skills and potential.
• Facilitate teamwork and foster a positive and supportive work environment.
• Stay up-to-date with State and Federal regulations, ensuring compliance and maintaining a high level of care.
