Assistant Warehouse Manager - 1st Shift, Mon-Fri

Job Purpose: Manage daily warehouse operations during your shift, including scheduling, inbound/outbound logistics, inventory control, maintenance, and housekeeping.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform yard checks and manage trailer movements.
• Ensure paperwork is complete and distributed.
• Oversee loading/unloading and trailer availability.
• Conduct safety checks and physical inventory counts.
• Manage order processing, scheduling carriers, and warehouse personnel.
• Ensure proper training for forklift operators.
• Optimize warehouse space and maintain cleanliness and safety standards.

Required Skills:

• Warehouse management experience with inventory control systems.
• Proficiency in Excel, data entry, and general computer skills.
• Experience managing 30+ employees across multiple shifts.
• Strong communication, leadership, budgeting, and organizational skills.

Additional Skills:

• Sense of urgency, accountability, teamwork, attention to detail.
• Flexibility for overtime and shift coverage.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of management experience in warehousing.

Education:

• College degree preferred or extensive related experience.
