Plastipak Packaging, Inc. is seeking a Warehouse Area Leader in Michigan to oversee material handlers and coordinate storage, shipping and receiving of finished goods. The role requires directing a team, enforcing safety and quality standards, and maintaining equipment in a food-grade clean facility near I-275.
The position offers a full-time schedule with 12-hour rotating shifts, promotion-from-within culture, and comprehensive benefits as part of a stable, long-standing employer.
As a Plastipak Warehouse Area Leader, you will assist in leading Material Handlers to move a variety of finished good plastic containers for leading brands. We Offer 12 Hour Rotating Shifts! Set Schedules: 12-hour shifts & a rotating 2-week standard schedule of 3 days, then 4 days is 15 working days a month as a full-time associate! Peace of Mind: We’ve been in the community for over 50 years & offer job stability through market uncertainty Advancement: We follow a strong promote-from-within business practice! Convenience: Our food-grade clean facility is located just off I-275! You Will Be responsible for the efficient performance of all phases of Storage, Shipping and Receiving operations. Direct the work of the Material Handlers. Act in accordance with the policies set forth in the current procedure manual. Clean & maintain equipment to assure optimal operating performance. Grow your knowledge & skills through a wide variety of training & on-the-job experiences. You Have Ability to work 5:50pm - 6:05am on a cycle of 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, repeat. This equates to 2 weekends per month off with a 3-day weekend
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Leadership, hi-lo, manufacturing/logistic operation ability. This can be experience gained through paid or unpaid work Able to use soft skills with direct reports, excellent communication skills, etc. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation
