Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking an Assistant Warden to direct and coordinate the facility's operations and programs, either personally or through subordinate managers, under the oversight of the Warden. The role carries full authority in the Warden's absence and requires a strong background in corrections leadership.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in social or behavioral sciences, extensive correctional supervisory experience, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social or Behavioral Science or related field.
• Six years of correctional work experience with leadership responsibilities.
• Experience at Chief of Security or Chief of Unit Management level or as a department head or equivalent.
• Knowledge of correctional facility management practices, laws, rules, and supervision training.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Minimum age of 21 years.

Responsibilities

• Directs, administers and coordinates the management of the facility in the area of operations and/or programs personally or through subordinate managerial staff, with oversight and direction of the Warden.
• Acts with full authority in the absence of the Warden.
