Job summary

Oral Roberts University is seeking an Assistant Volleyball Coach to support the NCAA Division I program. The role reports to the Head Volleyball Coach and carries responsibilities in coaching, recruiting support, scheduling, and program operations.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of relevant experience, plus strong communication and interpersonal skills. Travel, weekend and evening work are required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with organizing team practice and schedule.

• Serves as a role model for student-athletes.
• Assists with scheduling and team travel.
• Assists with strength and conditioning program.
• Maintains records of participation and compliance matters.
• Responsible for maintenance and accountability of equipment.

Job Description

• FULL TIME

Reports to the Head Volleyball Coach and is responsible for assisting in the coaching of student-athletes and management of a NCAA Division I intercollegiate volleyball program.

RESPONSIBLITIES

• Assists with organizing team practice and schedule
• Assists with tasks associated with recruiting: Letters of Intent (signing), official, and unofficial visits, etc.
• Monitors student-athletes class attendance, study hall, and grades
• Serves as a role model for student-athletes
• Assists with scheduling and team travel
• Assists with strength and conditioning program
• Maintains records of participation and other compliance related matters
• Responsible for the maintenance and accountability of equipment (i.e. uniforms, game equipment)
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Experience: A minimum of five years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task and use critical thinking skills. Good time management skills, a professional demeanor, and ability to work effectively in a high energy environment with people of other cultures and backgrounds.
