Job summary

Vox Media is seeking an Assistant Video Editor to join our New York post-production team in the branded content division. This early-career editor will own turnkey social cuts, follow templates, and grow into larger projects under supervision.

You’ll partner with the Post-Production Supervisor to set up projects for external editors, organize assets, and deliver clean handoffs, while learning from senior editors and Creative Directors.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of editing experience in digital, social, or branded content.
• Comfort with templated, repeatable edit formats and quick-turn edits.
• Familiarity with Adobe Premiere Pro and Frame.io workflows.
• Understanding of distribution specs across digital platforms.

Responsibilities

• Edit turnkey and templated content such as cutdowns and social formats.
• Cut quick-turn social edits independently following templates and style.
• Assist with larger, complex edits under supervision.
• Add basic music and sound design, light color grading.
• Organize projects, assets, and handoffs for external editors.
