Job summary

Co-op Academy Oldershaw is recruiting for an Assistant Vice Principal for Raising Standards. The post holder will drive a whole-school culture of high-quality teaching and professional practice, aiming to elevate pupil achievement and close attainment gaps for disadvantaged pupils.

They will lead on whole-school interventions, engage with parents and the community, and implement the Pupil Premium Strategy to remove barriers to progress while maintaining Co-op values and a safeguarding focus.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification essential.
  • Qualified Teacher Status essential.
  • Evidence of recent training and experience in whole school leadership and management desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Offer strategic direction to elevate pupil achievement, progress and outcomes across the academy.
  • Lead robust whole-school intervention initiatives to narrow attainment gaps for disadvantaged pupils.
  • Promote a strong learning culture delivering excellent academic outcomes for all pupils.
  • Lead on building stakeholder engagement by developing events for pupils, parents and the community.
  • Implement the Pupil Premium Strategy ensuring barriers to progress are removed.

At Co-op Academy Oldershaw, we invite you to apply for the position of Assistant Vice Principal for Raising Standards to drive and sustain a whole school culture of high quality teaching and professional practice which promotes a love of learing in our pupils.

Potential candidates will: offer strategic direction to elevate pupil achievement, progress and outcomes throughout the academy. They will work to address areas of academic underperformance. They will lead on robust whole school intervention initiatives whilst ensuring targeted support to narrow attainment gaps for disadvantaged pupils. They will promote a strong learning culture in the academy, which translates to excellent academic outcomes for all pupils. The postholder will lead on building stakeholder engagement by developing events held in the school, for pupils, parents and members of the community. The Raising Standars Lead will implement the Pupil Premium Strategy, ensuring that students have barriers to progress removed.
