Job summary

Lewisburg Area High School is seeking an Assistant Varsity Golf Coach for the upcoming season. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for golf, a commitment to student-athlete development, and the ability to foster a positive, competitive team environment.

Responsibilities include assisting the head coach with practice planning, providing instruction on golf techniques and strategies, organizing team practices and competitions, and coordinating logistics with players and parents.

Qualifications

• Coaching experience in golf or strong playing background at high school, collegiate, or pro level.
• Knowledge of golf techniques, rules, and strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to motivate student-athletes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with head coach, staff, and administration.
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive team environment.
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Must pass background checks as required by the school district.

Responsibilities

• Assist the head coach in developing and implementing practice plans and training sessions that enhance student-athlete skills.
• Provide instruction and feedback on golf techniques, strategies, and sportsmanship.
• Organize and supervise team practices, competitions, and related activities.
• Support the head coach in managing team logistics, including scheduling, transportation, and communication with players and parents.
• Foster a positive team culture that emphasizes respect, discipline, and commitment.
• Collaborate with other coaches and athletic staff to promote the overall success of the golf program and athletics department.
• Uphold the values and mission of Lewisburg Area High School and its athletics program.
