Assistant Varsity Flag Football Coach - 2026/2027
Propel Schools is seeking an Assistant Varsity Flag Football Coach for the 26-27 season starting this spring.
Schools:
- Propel Braddock Hills High School
- Propel Andrew St. High School
- Propel Montour High School
Successful candidates will have:
- Prior flag football or football coaching experience
- Preferred: student‑athlete experience at the high school and/or intercollegiate level, or prior flag football coaching experience
- Effective coaching techniques and skills
- Knowledge of rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport
- Experience implementing off‑season programs in accordance with WPIAL/PIAA regulations
- Willingness and ability to attend all required PIAA preseason coaching meetings and mandatory coaching certification/trainings in compliance with PIAA regulations
- High level of personal organization and planning
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
- A commitment to the Propel Habits
Season Information:
- The 2026‑2027 flag‑football season is scheduled to begin in March and is anticipated to conclude in April, though the season may end earlier/later depending on whether the team participates in postseason.
- This position includes a seasonal stipend of $1,000. The stipend will be prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season.
Requirements:
- Up-to-date TB Test
- Act 34 Criminal Clearance
- Act 114 FBI Clearance
- Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
Preferred qualifications:
- Team player – works well as a member of a group
- Motivation – inspired to perform well by contributing to the success of a project or the organization
- Education – Associates or better
- Experience – Proven experience as a coach at the youth and/or interscholastic levels
