The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of New Hampshire, located in Concord, NH, has approximately 24 AUSAs and 29 support staff. The office handles a wide range of criminal and civil matters, offering a challenging and rewarding experience for highly motivated attorneys involved in significant cases.
The office is accepting applications for a Supervisory AUSA to serve as Civil Chief, supervising attorneys and support staff in affirmative and defensive litigation, including bankruptcy, financial litigation, and asset forfeiture matters. Candidates should have a strong background in federal and/or state civil litigation, trial experience, and management experience, preferably within a government setting.
The successful candidate will be hired as an AUSA and may serve as a Supervisory AUSA under a temporary promotion, which can be extended or reverted at the discretion of the U.S. Attorney.
Applicants must meet all qualification requirements by the closing date. Training for new supervisory AUSAs includes the Justice Leadership Institute or a legal management seminar. The appointment is at-will and temporary, with possible extension or reversion to non-supervisory roles.
