The University of California - Riverside is seeking an Assistant Training Manager/Instructional Designer to lead design and delivery of training programs, select technologies, create multimedia content and deliver learning that supports the university’s needs.

In this role, you will join a Center of Excellence team, develop engaging learning experiences, test courses for LMS compatibility, and help ensure compliance with UCOP requirements across a broad university-wide setting.

Job description

This position is based on funding from University of California Office of the President (UCOP). The full salary range for the Assistant Training Manager / Instructional Designer is $71,931.60 - $127,994.40 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $99,952 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

The Assistant Training Manager/Instructional Designer participates as a training, education, or instructional design professional in a systemwide program or project. The individual selects technologies and tools, creates supportive learning activities, and develops new training in response to the University's needs. In collaboration with others, the position creates multimedia content and produces according to an established schedule. The individual will analyze needs and develop recommendations to address a wide range of training issues. The Assistant Training Manager/Instructional Designer provides the support for testing courses to ensure they are functional, designed for learning in mind, and compliant with learning management systems. The individual serves on a Center of Excellence (COE) team on projects that will have University of California (UC) system wide impact. This position is based on funding from University of California Office of the President (UCOP).
