The Harker School is seeking an Assistant Track and Field Coach for its Upper School athletic program. The season runs February 2027 through May 2027, and the coach will mentor student-athletes, teach track and field skills, and help develop leadership and life skills in a college-preparatory environment.

Qualifications

• Coaching students aged 13–19.
• Experience in volleyball is preferred.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Organize practice plans and game plans for track and field.
• Safely manage groups of student-athletes during activities.
• Communicate with the Athletic Director, staff, students and parents.
• Attend coaches meetings and seasonal parent meetings.
• Ensure fair play, safety and sportsmanship during travel.
• Follow the Upper School Coaches Handbook and bylaws as applicable.

This includes teaching them skills relating to the sport. The posted pay range reflects the full pay scale for this position. While the maximum rate is included for transparency, most new hires can expect to fall within the lower to middle portion of the pay scale based on their qualifications and experience.
