The Town of Grafton is seeking an Assistant Finance Director/Town Accountant to oversee the Town's accounting functions and ensure compliance with Massachusetts General Laws and town bylaws.

This full-time (35 hours/week) role reports to the Finance Director and includes responsibilities such as maintaining financial records, managing the accounting department, and supporting audits and regulatory filings. Salary ranges from $86,563.00 to $110,314.00 DOQ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining integrity and accuracy of financial records and internal controls.
• Managing daily operations of the Accounting Department.
• Coordinating reconciliations and year-end closing activities; assisting with audits.
