ABCD is seeking a caring Teaching Assistant to support our Toddler classroom at the Lake Ontario Center. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and passionate about early childhood development, providing a safe and loving environment where young children can grow and thrive.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Early Childhood or Child Development preferred.
  • Current CDA or experience with infants/toddlers with relevant coursework accepted.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and care for young children.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Lead Teacher in caring for infants and toddlers.
  • Support daily routines including feeding, diapering, napping, and playtime.
  • Help create a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment.
  • Observe and support children’s developmental milestones.
  • Follow health, safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Communicate positively with teachers and families.

Qualifications:

Preferred: Associates Degree in Early Childhood or Child Development

Accepted: Current CDA or Experience working with infants and toddlers, accompanied by coursework or training with infant/toddler content, a degree in a related field, training with infant and toddler content

Experience working with infants and/or toddlers preferred

CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain

Ability to lift, carry, and care for young children
