Job summary

The University of California, Davis is seeking an assistant coach for men's and women's track & field teams in Davis, CA. You will assist with recruitment, practice planning, scheduling, travel, and camp administration while ensuring compliance with NCAA and university rules.

This is a 100% on-site staff contract position. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree and at least three years of NCAA Division I coaching experience, with knowledge of NCAA throwing events and rules.

Qualifications

• CPR & First Aid certification renewed annually and kept current.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Three years of NCAA Division I track & field coaching experience.
• Knowledge of NCAA throwing events and rules/regulations.
• Ability to interact effectively with student-athletes, staff and external parties.

Responsibilities

• Coaching comprises 70% of duties, including skill development, strategy and mentoring.
• Recruiting constitutes 30% of duties, including talent identification and relationships.
• Assist with recruitment logistics, schedule planning, team travel and camps.
• Ensure full compliance with NCAA and UC Davis rules and policies.
