Qualifications

  • 1–2+ years of experience in textile, print, or surface design within apparel or retail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Textile Design, Print Design, Illustration, or related discipline preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Strong understanding of pattern repeats, color reduction, artwork cleanup, and production preparation.
  • Portfolio demonstrating original surface design, including hand-drawn or painted artwork, pattern layouts, and print executions.
  • Strong artistic eye with understanding of scale, color, composition, and garment application.
  • Experience with NedGraphics, Adobe Firefly, or AI-assisted artwork tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Create original prints, patterns, and surface designs through hand-painted, illustrated, and digital techniques.
  • Develop artwork across multiple apparel categories while adapting to distinct brand aesthetics.
  • Prepare production-ready artwork, including color reduction, artwork cleanup, color indexing, mechanicals, and seamless repeats.
  • Research seasonal print, color, and textile trends and translate relevant concepts into original designs.
  • Manage multiple creative projects and deadlines across a high-volume, multi-brand environment.
  • Organize and maintain digital and physical artwork libraries, including original files, vector assets, and production-ready materials.
  • Ensure artwork meets technical requirements before being delivered to factories and external partners.
