You will assist with coordinating trucking operations, support DOT-regulated drivers, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and help maintain efficient railyard practices. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential.

Bulkmatic is seeking a dependable, hands‑on Assistant Terminal Manager to support the daily operations of our Kansas City dry bulk trucking and rail transload terminal. This position will assist with coordinating trucking operations, supporting DOT-regulated drivers, maintaining safe and efficient railyard operations, and ensuring terminal activities are completed in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate is an organized and safety-minded leader who is comfortable working in a fast-paced transportation environment and can effectively balance office responsibilities with hands‑on terminal and yard operations.

Pay Range: 65000.00-75000.00 per_year

Job Requirements

• Assist the Terminal Manager in the day to day operations of the facilities
  • Responsible for work schedules and workload assignments
  • Address customer related challenges
• Oversee terminal employees
  • Some travel required (mostly between Kansas CIty, Saint Joseph and Atchison)
  • Responsible for hiring, training, coaching, disciplining and supervising direct reports
  • Ensure terminal practices, policies and procedures are understood and executed
• Help to maintain employee safety, satisfaction and performance
  • Ensure compliance with all safety related requirements
  • Documentation of performance discrepancies
  • Resolving and/or elevating employee concerns as appropriate
  • Promote clean and safe working conditions

  • Analyze operations data and reports to promote terminal efficiency
  • Communicate and collaborate with other company terminals and departments
• Represent the company and carry out duties in a professional manner

Bachelor's Degree Preferred

Physical Responsibilities

• Must be able to wear and use required safety equipment.

• Must have manual dexterity to operate any controls and or equipment.
• May be required to climb trailers if necessary and be comfortable with heights.
• Must be able to perform required tasks outside in various weather conditions.
