Hampton University Athletics is seeking an Assistant Tennis Coach to drive a nationally competitive program and provide a positive student-athlete experience at Hampton University. This twelve-month, full-time role includes teaching responsibilities and strict adherence to NCAA and conference rules.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree and at least five years of coaching tennis, with strong communication and the ability to manage multiple duties from travel to clinics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of five years of work experience coaching tennis.
• Division I collegiate or pro coaching experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance.

Responsabilités

• Recruit student-athletes aligned with University goals.
• Train players and manage practices, games, and development.
• Promote academic excellence and monitor study requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Hampton, CAA and NCAA rules.
• Coordinate team travel and budgeting; schedule competitive events.
• Support with facilities, summer clinics, and staff supervision.
• Represent Hampton Athletics positively and professionally.
