Job summary

University in Manchester, New Hampshire is seeking an Assistant Tennis Coach to support players through conditioning, film-based performance reviews, and game-day preparation. You will help plan practices, monitor classroom performance, and assist in NCAA reporting and fundraising efforts.

The role requires coaching or playing experience and a relevant degree or equivalent training, with travel for away games and recruiting events. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of coaching experience or 3+ years of playing experience at the high school or college level.
• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of coaching/tennis training experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience coordinating gameday setup and breakdown of courts, video cameras, download film, organize tasks, and exchange of lineup with opponent staff.
• Valid driver’s license and availability for van transportation of players.

Responsibilities

• Support and educate players on strength and conditioning.
• Aid in the creation of player performance reviews, including film analysis for practice training.
• Help with game day preparation and opponent evaluation.
• Participate in planning and strategy for team practice.
• Keep the coach informed of players’ classroom performance.
• Assist the head coach with expense forms and NCAA/Teamworks reporting.
• Help plan SNHU Tennis Fundraising events.
• Work with team captains and provide feedback to athletes.
• Attend events and recruiting showcases throughout the year.
• Organize PSA recruit NCAA official visit forms.
• Travel with the team to away games, possibly overnight.
