Job summary

Helena Public Schools seeks an Assistant Tennis Coach for Helena High School. You will assist in coaching, planning practices, and supporting student athletes during the season.

The role requires promoting a positive environment, working with youth, and completing MHSA Coaches Certification and other trainings such as CPR/First Aid and concussion training. This is a stipend-based, on-site position within the Helena High School athletics program.

Qualifications

• Seek growth as a coach by attending camps, clinics and pursuing opportunities to learn current trends and teaching techniques in the activity.
• Ability to work with kids and promote a positive environment.
• MHSA Coaches Certification Program must be completed and maintained.
• HPS Student and Activity Handbook understanding required.
• CDC concussion training required by MHSA.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching duties for tennis at Helena High School.
• Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive environment for student athletes.
• Participate in MHSA mandated training and school activities.
