Responsibilities

• Coach at all levels within the program and various areas of responsibility.
• Enhance, improve, and maximize students' athletic skills to compete at a high level.
• Organize and oversee specific program levels or areas of responsibility.
• Communicate with the Head Coach and Athletic Director to secure facilities for safe practice/competition environments.
• Support the philosophy and conditioning programs communicated by the head coach.
• Communicate and plan practice sessions and competition strategies with the head coach.
• Coordinate with the head coach and Athletic Director all in-season practices.
• Ensure participant compliance with D300 and IHSA requirements and academic eligibility.
• Model and instill sportsmanship and enforce consequences for breaches of standards.
• Attend all student-athlete practices, games, and monitor supervision during transportation.
• Maintain and provide end-of-season records and statistics to the head coach.
• Participate in a mandatory preseason parent meeting.
• Assist in planning for the seasonal recognition program.
• Assist in distribution and collection of uniforms and equipment.
• Engage in personal professional development activities.
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or Athletic Director.

Hampshire High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the role of Assistant Boys Tennis Coach and to assist in the overall management of the tennis program. Must be able to coach at all levels within the program, be organized, flexible, take direction from the head coach and/or direct supervisor, and work and communicate with parents and the Booster Club.

Performance Responsibilities/Requirements/Qualifications

• High school coaching experience preferred.
• Must be able to coach at all levels within the program and various areas of responsibility.
• Enhance, improve, and maximize students' athletic skills required to compete at a high level.
• Organize and oversee specific program levels or areas of responsibility.
• Communicate with the Head Coach and/or Athletic Director to secure facilities to ensure a safe practice/competition environment for students.
• Support the philosophy, programmatic instruction of sequential fundamentals, and proper conditioning communicated by the head coach.
• Communicate and plan with the head coach practice sessions and competition strategies to ensure the health and physical well-being of the student participants.
• Coordinate with the head coach and Athletic Director all in-season practices.
• Ensure all student participants at his/her program level are in compliance with D300 and IHSA requirements including current athletic physical, Code of Conduct, fees paid, and are academically eligible prior to practice, tryout, and competition.
• Model and instill the values of sportsmanship and fair play to all participants, and enforce consequences for breaches of such standards.
• Attend all student-athlete practices, games, and monitor proper supervision at all practices, games, and on school-provided transportation.
• Maintain and provide the head coach with end-of-season individual and team records and statistics.
• Participate in a mandatory preseason parent meeting.
• Assist the head coach in planning for the seasonal recognition program.
• Assist in the orderly distribution and collection of uniforms and equipment.
• Engage in personal professional development activities.
• Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or Athletic Director.
