Description

The Apprentice Nondestructive Testing (NDT) Technician assists experienced Technicians or Senior Technicians in performing inspections using various NDT techniques to identify corrosion, defects, or detrimental conditions in accordance with specific written criteria. The apprentice may also calibrate instruments and perform other duties under supervision.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following company and customer safety standards and practices, and legal regulations, while alerting others to potential hazards.
• Perform assigned duties in accordance with TEAM's Core Values.
• Assist Technicians or Senior Technicians during NDT inspections.
• Study to obtain NDT certifications, gaining hands-on experience with various NDT methods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic understanding of math.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and computer use.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate effectively in English.
• Travel requirement: 0-75%.
• Ability to handle chemicals safely.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Periodic out-of-town travel may be required.

Work Conditions

• Position based at a branch or site location.
• Field duties involve indoor and outdoor work in a plant environment.
• Interaction with crew employees, supervisors, and clients.
• Work around production machinery with high noise levels.
• Must wear safety equipment as required.
• May work at multiple sites in a day and tolerate climate changes.
