Job summary

Rosebud Theatre & School of the Arts in Rosebud, Alberta seeks an Assistant Technical Director to join its production team. The ATD will assist with strike, load‑in, light hang and focus, supervise student crews, and maintain equipment across school and theatre seasons.

This full‑time role requires at least five years in professional or semi‑professional theatre, comfort with heights, and MS Office 365; First Aid is an asset.

Qualifications

• Understand the technical theatre process with at least five years of experience in professional or semi‑professional theatre.
• Comfortable working at height and on ladders.
• Familiarity with MS Office 365 is an asset.
• First Aid certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with production duties during turn‑over periods between shows.
• Support strike and load‑in, light hang and focus, and supervise student crews.
• Manage properties and inventory; assist with equipment maintenance.
