Job summary

Rosebud Theatre & School of the Arts in Rosebud, Alberta, seeks a visionary Artistic Director to shape artistic programming and priorities. Reporting to the Executive Director and Board, you will lead season planning, foster collaborations, and champion training across the School of the Arts.

You will partner with artists, staff, students and donors to grow Rosebud’s artistic impact while building public and private support.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership in theatre programming
• Experience developing and managing artistic plans
• Experience with budgeting and fundraising

Responsibilities

• Lead all elements of Rosebud productions, special artistic events, collaborations, and co-productions.
• Select and develop the annual season of productions balancing artistic excellence with finances.
• Oversee casting and production-related activities, assembling creative teams.
• Direct a minimum of two shows per season and manage guest directors.
• Collaborate with the Executive Director and Board to implement the strategic plan.
