Job summary

Chico’s FAS in Fort Myers, FL, seeks an Assistant Technical Designer to support daily fittings, prepare samples and enter measurements and images into the PLM system. You will coordinate meetings, communicate with vendors, and help maintain garment standards while assisting wear trials and keeping the product database up to date.

A fashion-related degree plus 1–2+ years of experience are required. This regular/full-time role offers teamwork, growth, and exposure to multiple brands.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree required in Fashion Design or related field.
• 1–2+ years in fashion apparel industry required.
• Understanding of garment manufacturing preferred.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Drive; Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
• Experience with PLM or similar software preferred.
• Knowledge of pattern software (Optitex, CLO, BrozzWear) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in daily fittings: measure samples and evaluate fit per standards.
• Assist in preparing technical packages: enter measurements, pictures, sketches into PLM.
• Enter fit notes and comments into PLM.
• Coordinate/schedule/set up meetings with teams and vendors.
• Communicate daily with vendors via fax and e-mail on technical issues.
• Administer receipt and organization of garments.
• May oversee wear trial process: track testing results and maintain participant database.
• Support leaders in achieving departmental goals.
• Other duties as assigned.
