SKIMS is seeking an Assistant Technical Designer to support the Technical Design team through the product development and production lifecycle. You will help ensure fit, construction, quality, and performance across styles, collaborating with Design, Product Development, Production, and vendors.

The role is ideal for an early-career designer eager to grow in a fast-paced, global brand. Requirements include a Bachelor’s in a related field, 1–2 years of experience, and proficiency with PLM,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in fashion-related field preferred.
• 1–2 years of technical design or apparel production experience.
• Foundational understanding of garment construction, patternmaking, fit, measurements, and grading.
• Experience measuring garments and working with technical specifications.
• Familiarity with technical packages and product development processes.
• Experience with PLM systems is preferred.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Support Technical Design and product development through lifecycle from prototype to final production.
• Create, update, and maintain technical packages with measurements, specs, and fit comments.
• Review samples against specs and flag inconsistencies in measurements and workmanship.
• Measure garments and maintain measurement specifications throughout development.
• Support grade rules and size specifications maintenance.
• Help ensure product consistency across styles, categories, and sizes.
