Job summary

The J.Jill Group is seeking an Assistant Technical Designer to support across woven, knits, sweaters, and outerwear, focusing on fit and sample development. You will gain exposure to multiple categories, opening opportunities to learn and grow in a collaborative, women-led environment in Massachusetts.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, create tech sketches (digital and manual), and ensure accurate measures and documentation while contributing to a supportive culture and competitive

Qualifications

Understanding of fit, garment construction, and sample measurement is beneficial.
Ability to create technical sketches using computer software tools and manual sketches.
Strong focus and accuracy in open work environments.

Responsibilities

Notify teams of new overseas samples for fit and prepare samples for fit sessions.
Measure samples and compare construction to tech pack requirements.
Record results and participate in fit sessions to expand knowledge.
Assist with report writing and modify tech pack details as needed.
Communicate sample status and garment construction feedback with internal and external partners.
