Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Apparel Design, Textiles, Technical Design, or related field, or equivalent coursework/experience.
• Foundational knowledge of garment construction, sewing, patternmaking, and apparel terminology.
• Basic understanding of garment fit and measurement techniques.
• Strong attention to detail, organization and follow-through.
• Ability to follow processes, ask questions, and learn new skills.
• Proficiency with Office and Illustrator; PLM familiarity preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports fit sessions by preparing samples, taking measurements, recording comments, and organizing actions.
• Assists Design and Product Development to achieve desired garment fit and aesthetic.
• Measures samples and compares results to fit specs and construction standards.
• Reviews samples on fit models and communicates observations to the Technical Designer.
• Enters and maintains measurements, fit comments, and construction data in the PLM system.
• Prepares clear pattern, fit, and construction comments for vendor communication.
• Tracks sample status and helps keep development timelines on schedule.
• Identifies fit/construct or workmanship concerns and escalates appropriately.
• Collaborates with Design, Product Development, Sourcing, and partners to ensure accurate specs.
