Job summary

Future Form Brands is seeking an organized Assistant Technical Designer to support the Technical Design team throughout product development. This full-time, on-site role is based in Vernon, CA, with responsibilities including measuring garments, tracking samples through approvals, and updating tech packs.

The ideal candidate has a fashion-related degree and 1–3 years in technical design or apparel development, with strong attention to detail and proficiency in Excel and Illustrator.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, Apparel Merchandising, or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of technical design or apparel development experience preferred (internships considered).
  • Basic understanding of garment construction, fit, grading, sewing techniques, and patternmaking.
  • Ability to accurately measure garments and interpret specification sheets.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately measure garments and prepare samples for fit sessions.
  • Track development, PP and TOP samples through approvals.
  • Evaluate samples for fit, construction, and specification compliance.
  • Schedule fit sessions and document revisions.
  • Update Tech Packs with measurements, fit comments, photos, and revision history.
