Brooklyn Community Services is seeking an Afterschool Assistant Teacher to support elementary students with homework help, enrichment activities, and literacy-focused lessons from 2:45 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday, at the Academy for Young Writers and Spring Creek Community School. Hours: Part Time Program hours are Monday - Friday 2:45 pm - 6:00 pm. Holiday camp is held for 13 days per school year when DOE is closed from 8:00am - 6:00pm.
This position is fully in-person and does not offer any remote work.
Salary Range: $20/hour - $20/hour

Education and Youth Development programs provide after-school learning opportunities to elementary school children. During the school year, we offer homework help, enrichment programs and activities from 2:45 pm - 6:00 pm. Assistant Teachers for the enrichment program are expected to assist with a class of approximately 20 students Monday through Friday for 3 hours daily. We open and run holiday camp from 8am-6pm for 13 days per school year when DOE is closed.
