Brooklyn Community Services (Inc) is seeking a part-time Floater Afterschool Assistant Teacher for the Education and Youth Development program. Work hours are 2:45 pm–6:00 pm, Monday–Friday, with holiday camp coverage when DOE is closed.
The position is in-person at MS 409 East New York Family Academy. You will support a lead teacher with a class of about 20 students, help plan and implement activities, supervise transitions, and communicate with families to foster a safe, engaging afterschool

Brooklyn Community Services is one of Brooklyns first and largest non sectarian social services agencies BCS which presently serves more than 10000 individuals annually is committed to a broad and diverse range of services including education and child care; services to strengthen families; and services to foster self sufficiency for adults Education and Youth Development programs provide after school learning opportunities to elementary school children During the school year we offer homework help enrichment programs and activities from 245 pm 600 pm Assistant Teachers for the enrichment program are expected to assist with a class of approximately 20 students Monday through Friday for 3 hours daily We open and run holiday camp from 8am 6pm for 13 days per school year when DOE is closed This position is fully in person and does not offer any remote work
