YMCA of the Lowcountry is seeking a part-time Assistant Preschool Teacher to support the Lead Teacher in a safe, nurturing environment for children ages 2-5. You’ll help implement age-appropriate activities while ensuring compliance with youth safety and licensing standards.
The role offers flexible scheduling up to 30 hours per week with operating hours 8 AM–3 PM. A high school diploma is required; state-accredited childcare experience and ongoing training are preferred.
Salary: Minimum $14.00/hour - Maximum $16.00/hour

The Assistant Preschool Teacher supports the YMCA's mission by providing a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for preschool-age children (ages 2-5). This role is responsible for assisting the Lead Preschool Teacher with teaching children, implementing age-appropriate activities, and maintaining compliance with all youth safety, licensing, and program standards.
