Child Development Schools in Southport, North Carolina is seeking an Assistant Teacher for a part-time, split-shift role. You will support the Lead Teacher by delivering age-appropriate lessons, helping maintain a safe, clean classroom, and engaging with children during activities, meals, and outdoor time.
You will observe and share developmental notes, build relationships with families, and assist with attendance and daily reports.
As an Assistant Teacher at Child Development Schools, you will help create a classroom filled with discovery, creativity, learning, and joy. Working alongside your Lead Teacher, you will support young learners through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, confidence, kindness, and growth. From hands-on activities and storytelling to everyday learning moments, you will help shape a warm and welcoming environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to explore the world around them. You will serve as a trusted partner to families, a positive role model for children, and an important part of our collaborative teaching team dedicated to making early childhood education engaging, nurturing, safe, and fun.
Pay: 13-15 per hour, based on experience and education.
