Job summary

Monroe Community College Assn Inc is seeking an Assistant Teacher – Full-time for the Child Care Center. You will supervise and care for children in line with NY OCFS regulations and NAEYC developmentally appropriate practices, supporting a safe and engaging learning environment.

Responsibilities include implementing the center curriculum, communicating with parents, assisting staff, maintaining records, and participating in required trainings and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CDA or 12 ECE credits required or must be obtained within one year.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• One year of experience with young children required.
• Must pass NYS Central Registry and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Interact with children in a positive, respectful, and responsive manner.
• Assist in maintaining a safe, neat, and engaging classroom environment.
• Support implementation of the center curriculum and activities.
• Communicate with parents and participate in parent engagement activities.
• Assist lead teacher, staff, and coordinators; participate in trainings.
