Job summary

Cadence Education is seeking an Assistant Montessori Teacher to join our team and bring your love of children to the classroom. No experience required, as you will learn from experienced Montessori teachers and become part of a caring, collaborative teaching team in our Houston area schools.

You will support teachers in delivering our research-based Montessori curriculum for infants through Kindergarten, maintain a safe, engaging environment, and communicate with families about their children’s

Qualifications

• Minimum required CDA or Associate’s Degree, or some college coursework.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Human Development.

Our Associate teachers play a key role in our Montessori classrooms, cultivating high quality learning opportunities for infants, toddlers, preschool and Kindergarten aged students (birth through 6 years old). This is a full-time position which works alongside trained Montessori Teachers (as part of a teaching team) to deliver on our mission to develop a lifelong love of learning in our students.

Associate Responsibilities

• Play a supporting role in the classroom under the direction of trained, Montessori teachers and work amongst a team of teachers;
• Maintain a safe, clean, and tidy classroom environment in accordance with Montessori philosophy;
• Provide basic care and active supervision of young children as needed;
• Engage in positive redirection to children and maintain a positive learning environment;
• Communicate with parents as needed on routine matters regarding the health, and care of students.

Associate Requirements

• Minimum Required CDA or Associate’s Degree, or some college coursework;
• At least 18 years of age
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Human Development).
