Job summary

Bright Horizons Family Solutions, LLC. is seeking an Assistant Teacher to support infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in person at our Northfield, IL centers. You will assist with activities, communicate milestones to families, and help maintain a safe, clean classroom.

The role offers full-time hours with a generous incentive of $2,000 after 100 days and opportunities to pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost through our Horizons CDA & Degree Program.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age and a high school diploma or GED are required.
• 1 year of experience in child care, daycare or preschool preferred.
• Background checks required by state and Bright Horizons.
• CDA/Associate/Bachelor’s degree in early education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
• Provide support in any classroom or age group where teaching coverage is needed.
