Job summary

Kennedy Krieger Institute seeks an Assistant Teacher II to support teachers serving a diverse student population at the Powder Mill (Beltsville, MD) campus. You will help implement IEP-based instruction, adapt lessons to meet each student’s needs, and assume teacher duties during absences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Experience with children with developmental disabilities is highly preferred.
• PCM certification at Practitioner level or higher within policy timeline.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing instruction in line with IEPs and with supervising teachers.
• Prepare for and participate in parent conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Provide supervision during after-school emergencies and during absences.
• Support curricular and extracurricular activities and school projects.
• Carry out instructional-related duties as assigned by teachers and administrators.
• Implement behavioral protocols and maintain professional conduct.
