Job summary

Bright Horizons is seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our Richmond, VA area classrooms. This full-time role offers Monday–Friday, 9:00 am–6:00 pm, with opportunities to pursue a CDA or college degree at no cost, helping you grow alongside expert educators in early childhood.

You will assist with hands-on activities, maintain open communication with families, and help keep classrooms safe and well-organized while providing coverage across centers as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• 1 year of experience in child care, daycare, or preschool settings preferred.
• CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children.
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones.
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines.
• Provide support in any classroom or age group where teaching coverage is needed across a center or in nearby locations.
