The YMCA is looking forASSISTANT TEACHERS in several Greater Cleveland licensed locations, and you're welcome to apply at multiple sites! Responsibilities include:

• Provide an engaging, physically and emotionally safe, and inclusive environment to encourage play, exploration, and learning.
• Encourage active participation and age-appropriate social interactions.
• Develop friendly and respectful relationships with families from diverse backgrounds.
• Implement weekly lesson plans as directed by the Lead Teacher.
• Assist with data collection on growth, development, and learning.
• Identify, document, and report suspected child abuse and neglect as required by law. All YMCA employees are mandated reporters of child abuse or neglect.

Physical Requirements:

• Able to regularly lift and move up to 50lbs.
• Sound perception at normal speaking levels with or without correction.
• Able to orally communicate and instruct.
