Job summary

The Willow Oaks Academy LLC in Charlotte, NC, is seeking an Assistant Teacher/Floater II to support the lead teacher and foster a nurturing environment for young children.

You will collaborate with staff to ensure safety, communicate with parents, and participate in ongoing training to stay compliant with NC daycare regulations. The role involves helping with supervision and maintaining classroom organization and records.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Completion of Early Childhood Credentials 1&2.
• Completion of BSAC and SIDS training.
• At least three months of experience working with young children.
• Eligibility to work with children in North Carolina based on a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Support lead teacher in implementing a weekly activity plan.
• Collaborate with teachers to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
• Assist in maintaining communication with parents.
• Complete required in-service and yearly training.
• Stay current on NC Daycare regulations.
• Inform teachers and director of classroom issues.
• Help keep classrooms organized and arranged.
• Maintain center cleanliness inside and outside of the facility.
• Cooperate with staff to uphold professionalism.
• Assist in visual supervision of children.
• Maintain records.
• Assist with filling in for other staff roles and miscellaneous duties.
