Join us at Ulster County Community Action Committee in Kingston as a Full Time Assistant Teacher for our Early Head Start program. Working onsite, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of young children in our community. Your passion for early childhood education will shine as you assist in creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for our little learners. At a competitive rate of $16.50/hr, you'll be fairly compensated for your dedication and hard work.

As a new Assistant Teacher for our Early Head Start program, you'll provide support to the lead teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and activities. Your role includes assisting with meal times, diaper changes, and ensuring a safe and clean environment for the children. You'll engage in play-based learning activities, observe children's progress, and communicate effectively with parents and staff to promote each child's development.

Your willingness to learn and grow in this role will be essential as you work collaboratively with the team to meet the needs of the children and families we serve.

Successful candidates for the Assistant Teacher (Early Head Start) position should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with a passion for working with young children. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential in this role to interact effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
