Bright Horizons in Ashburn, VA is hiring an Assistant Teacher for full-time roles across infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. You will support hands-on activities, communicate milestones to families, and help maintain a safe, clean classroom following Bright Horizons policies.

Required: 18+ with HS diploma or GED; 1 year in child care preferred; CDA/Associate/Bachelor in early education preferred. In-person work at our Ashburn center with opportunities for professional growth and scholarships

Qualifications

• 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required.
• 1 year of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred.
• CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist with hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children
• Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones
• Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines
• Fulfill mandated reporter requirements as defined by the appropriate State agency, including reporting any suspected cases of child abuse or neglect to the agency and informing the director
• Provide support in any classroom or age group where teaching coverage is needed across a center or in nearby locations
