Munson Healthcare is hiring an Assistant Teacher for a full-time day shift with a $5,000 sign-on bonus. The role supports the lead teacher, plans weekly activities, and supervises children to ensure safety and engagement.

A high school diploma or GED is required, and an Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred. Responsibilities include health and safety duties, attendance at staff meetings, and collaboration with families and coordinators.

A Day inthe Life

Supports and assists lead teacher in all aspects of the classroom management and daily schedule.

Responsible for the daily planning and execution of all classroom and outdoor activities for the group. Lesson plans will be prepared on a weekly basis with one copy being posted in the classroom for parents, and one copy turned into the Coordinator.

Supervision for meal times, toileting procedures, inside and outside activities for children in the classroom.

Attendance at all staff meetings, parent conferences (as needed), and ongoing training.

Cleaning and organizing of the center as needed.

Responsible for the health, welfare, and safety of children in assigned group. Responds to needs, questions, concerns of parents and children in an effective and timely manner.

What’s Required

High school diploma or GED required.

Must be able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.

Experience in the child development field preferred.

Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.

Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
