Job summary

Munson Healthcare in northern Michigan seeks a compassionate Certified Nurse Aide to provide daily personal care to residents, including bathing, grooming and dressing, while supporting the nursing team with vital signs and detailed records.

You’ll work in a home-like environment with opportunities for growth, training, and certification paid by the employer, within a team focused on dignity, safety and friendly resident interactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Completion of free Certified Nurse Aide course within 4 months of hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
• Assist residents with safe movement: walking, transfers, positioning.
• Create a warm, friendly atmosphere and communicate with residents.
• Support nursing team by taking vital signs and reporting changes.
• Maintain clean, safe spaces and assist with meal service, laundry, and other tasks.
• Respond promptly to resident requests and protect privacy and dignity.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Become a trusted companion to our residents by providing compassionate personal care assistance—think of yourself as their go-to helper for daily activities like bathing, grooming, and dressing
• Keep our residents comfortable and happy by helping them move around safely, whether that's assisting with walking, transfers, or positioning
• Be the friendly face that makes a difference—chat with residents, listen to their stories, and help create a warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout the day
• Support our nursing team by taking vital signs, reporting changes in resident conditions, and keeping detailed records (we'll train you on all of this!)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment in resident rooms and common areas—because a tidy space is a happy space
• Jump in as a team player by helping with meal service, laundry, and other tasks that keep our community running smoothly
• Respond promptly to resident requests and call lights—your quick response makes all the difference in their day
