Job summary

Beacon Hill Schools is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher for our early childhood program in Athens, Watkinsville, and Bogart locations. You will develop age-appropriate curriculums, foster a nurturing classroom, and support young learners through structured lessons and creative play.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of licensed childcare teaching experience, strong child development knowledge, and excellent communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Associate’s, TCD, TCC, or CDA in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience in a licensed childcare setting
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain)
• Must meet all state licensing requirements, including background checks
• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early education
• Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and staff effectively
• Ability to create engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and engage physically with children throughout the day
