As an assistant teacher, we would ask you to engage with the children in your care, you will be asked to help implement activities, clean and sanitize as necessary, and ensure the safety of the children in your care.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Lead Teacher
• Supervise and ensure the safety of the children in your care at all times.
• Assist Lead Teacher in any way possible: preparing and setting up activities, implementing portions of the activities, and helping clean and disinfect the toys, play areas, and restrooms.
• Communicate with your Lead Teacher and the Director professionally.
• Ensure the required training, per state guidelines, is completed (12 clock hours per year).
• Be familiar with state regulations.
• Be familiar with the policies and procedures of Kids Inn Child Care Center. A handbook will be provided to each staff member, and a signed letter of agreement or understanding will be required.

Candidate Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be CPR and First Aid certified (training can be suggested for you).
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to pass the background check and FBI fingerprinting check.
