Job summary

Kids Inn Child Care Center is seeking an assistant teacher to support the Lead Teacher, help implement activities, and maintain a safe, clean classroom environment for children. The role requires compassion, reliability, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities include supervising children at all times, assisting with setup and cleanup of activities, and adhering to state guidelines and the center's policies. CPR/First Aid certification and background checks are mandatory.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• CPR and First Aid certified (training can be suggested).
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Must be able to pass the background check and FBI fingerprinting check.

Responsibilities

• Reports to the Lead Teacher
• Supervise and ensure the safety of the children in your care at all times.
• Assist Lead Teacher in preparing and setting up activities, implementing portions of activities, and cleaning and disinfecting toys, play areas, and restrooms.
• Communicate with your Lead Teacher and the Director professionally
• Ensure the required training per state guidelines (12 clock hours per year) is completed.
• Be familiar with state regulations and Kids Inn Child Care Center policies and procedures.

As an assistant teacher, we would ask you to engage with the children in your care, you will be asked to help implement activities, clean and sanitize as necessary, and ensure the safety of the children in your care.

Responsibilities

Reports to the Lead Teacher

Supervise and ensure the safety of the children in your care at all times.

Assist Lead Teacher in any way possible- preparing and setting up activities, implementing portions of the activities, and helping clean and disinfect the toys, play areas, and restrooms.

Communicate with your Lead Teacher and the Director professionally

Ensure the required training, per state guidelines, is completed. (12 clock hours per year)

Be familiar with state regulations

Be familiar with the policies and procedures of Kids Inn Child Care Center (A handbook will be provided to each staff member, and a signed letter of agreement or understanding will be required.)
