Job summary

The Goddard School of Royersford in Royersford, PA is seeking an Assistant Teacher passionate about early childhood education to help create meaningful learning experiences for children.

You will support the Lead Teacher, implement activities from the Wonder of Learning curriculum, and contribute to a safe, engaging classroom where children grow socially, emotionally, and cognitively. The role offers a collaborative, team-focused environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience with children preferred but not required.
• Willingness to learn and grow in early childhood education.
• Must meet Pennsylvania state licensing requirements.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as required for child care duties.

Responsibilities

• Support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Assist with implementing classroom activities and learning experiences using our Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Build meaningful relationships with children and support their social, emotional, and developmental growth.
• Help maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and safety.
• Support children’s daily routines including meals, diapering/toileting, transitions, and play-based learning.
• Communicate positively and professionally with children, families, and team members.
• Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to provide the best possible experience for every child.
• Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
