Program Overview

High-quality early childhood program servingchildren ages 6 weeks to 11 years

Focus onwhole-child development: social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth

Use of structured curriculum andplay-based learning approaches

Key Responsibilities

Support the Lead Teacher in maintaining asafe, nurturing, and engaging classroom

Assist with implementinglesson plans and educational activities

Supervise children and ensureactive engagement and safety at all times

Support daily routines, including:

Meals and snacks

Potty training and toileting

Handwashing and hygiene practices

Help promote children’ssocial, emotional, and cognitive development

Maintain aclean, organized, and developmentally appropriate classroom

Communicate professionally withteam members and families

Follow allODJFS licensing regulations and safety standards

Assist with classroom transitions, setup, and cleanup

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum of1 year of experience working with children in a group setting

Caring, energetic, and reliable with apassion for working with children

Strongcommunication, teamwork, and organizational skills

Preferred (Not Required)

Experience in alicensed childcare center

Coursework inEarly Childhood Education or related field

Familiarity withCreative Curriculum

Experience supportinglesson planning or classroom activities

Certifications & Training

CPR and First Aid certification(or willingness to obtain upon hire)

Completion of allrequired state and center training

Must passbackground check and medical requirements

Physical Requirements

Ability tolift up to 45 pounds

Actively engage with children throughout the day

Sit, stand, bend, and move frequently

Maintain energy in afast-paced classroom environment

Schedule & Compensation

Full-time position

Pay:$15.00 – $17.00 per hour(based on experience)
