Job summary

The Gardner School in Plymouth, MN is seeking an Assistant and Support Teacher to join our state‑of‑the‑art facility. You will assist the Lead Teacher in delivering age‑appropriate curriculum and activities and provide nurturing guidance for each child’s development.

You’ll build strong relationships with families and collaborate with the teaching team to maintain a safe, organized classroom while upholding our core values of Children First, Trust, Innovation, and Make a Difference.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• 1+ years of experience with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Able to lift up to ~60 lbs and stay active throughout the day.

• Competitive Pay: The starting pay range for Assistant Teachers is $16.55‑$20.45 per hour, and for Support Teachers is $14.90‑$18.35 based on education and experience.

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: High school diploma (required). Current CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Experience: 1+ years of experience working with children ages 6 weeks to 5 years.
• Knowledge, Skills, and Physical Requirements: Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship. Regular and reliable attendance. Passion for early childhood education and a nurturing, joyful approach to care. Intermediate PC skills and proficiency with general administrative tasks. Active engagement throughout the day including standing, sitting on the floor, bending, and lifting up to ~60 lbs. Ability to fulfill cognitive and interpersonal aspects of a classroom leadership including speaking, hearing, reading, writing, focusing attention, and building relationships.
